Contemporary Worship
"The Summit" is Centenary's contemporary worship experience, Sundays at 11am in the Family Life Center at the north end of our campus at 300 North Ellis.

The Summit is for you if:

• You like a relaxed setting with casual dress
• A "tight" band that have you on your feet one minute, on your knees the next
• Relevant messages that speak to real life
• Use of multimedia to project lyrics, announcements, important sermon points and video
• Film clips from movies that might surprise you
• A little cappuchino, coffee, hot chocolate or bottled water from The Summit coffee bar
• Your seating choice of a round table to gather with friends and family, or more traditional seating in chairs across the back
• Worship that engages your senses and your heart

The mood
The Summit is a comfortable place to worship. You can come in your comfortable "street" clothes or your Sunday best - what matters is that you come.

You can enjoy refreshments before and during worship, and your small children can draw and color at your table (or those under 5 may use our nursery). Comfortable, yes, but never dull.

The Summit combines times of high energy praise and quiet reflection and is always working to bring the love of God to our daily lives.

The music
We're convinced that The Summit Band is the best-kept secret in Cape! Each one of our band members brings incredible talent and a love of God that permeats every song. We can tell you they're awesome, but you'll have to come hear them to know what we mean. We don't want to miss a note - we're pretty sure you'll agree!

The movies
A movie clip helps introduce each of Pastor Jeff's messages. But you might be surprised by some of the movies he finds. These film clips add something extra to the worship experiences. What do the likes of Brad Pitt, Paul Newman, Billy Crystal, Julia Roberts, Johnny Depp, Halle Berry, Annette Benning or a host of other stars have to say about your faith? Come find out.

The message
Pastor Jeff hates to be bored as much as you do, so you can be sure his messages are never dull. You'll laugh but you'll also think.

You'll learn how the scriptures of long ago speak to the issues you face every day.

And you'll be reminded how the life-giving words and deeds of Jesus Christ can breathe life and hope to the things you say and do.
