161 Children attend eXtreme Kids...totally His Vacation Bible School at Centenary Church June 25-29, 2007.

Bible School ended with a GRAND Finale, as the children doused Pastor Jeff Long with Mentos and Diet Coke!  The grand finale came as a suprise to Pastor Jeff;  months ago, he challenged the directors to have an attendance of 100 children per day.  The directors told him that he would be a part of an eXtreme event, but did not tell him what would happen until the blindfold was removed and the dousing began!

The elementary children had an eXtremly eXcellent time while they learned to love God using their HEART, SOUL, STRENGTH and their MINDS.  They also learned to love their NEIGHBOR as themselves.  They performed service projects around town; eXpressed themselves through music and dance; painted an original self-portrait; played eXtreme games such as fishing marbles (using thier toes) out of a baby pool filled with rice crispies and water; and learned how to make eXcellent paper airplanes and slimy GAK.

Preschoolers learned to love God in the same ways, but on a smaller (but no less messy) scale.  They made GAK, clean mud, a self portrait, painted pet rocks, and had a really great time.  Blinky, everyone's favorite puppet friend, told them Bible stories.  They played games, had music and motion classes and wore themselves (and their teachers) out each day....

Word has it that eXtreme Kids...Our World is His in in the planning stages for 2008...if you would like to be involved in this eXciting ministry, please email vbs@mycentenary.org By the way, there's NO WAY we're going to tell you what Pastor Jeff has agreed to if we meet his goal of 200 children per day in 2008!!
